John Graves, MD
Dr. Graves is a native of Norfolk, Virginia. Having joined the Guilford Orthopaedic division in 1996, Dr. Graves brings a vast array of surgical orthopaedic knowledge to the practice.
The experiences as an academic All-American athlete combined with his extensive orthopaedic training and trauma care with both the active and veteran military has allowed Dr. Graves to be one of the most sought physicians in the Greater Triad. Treating all types of orthopaedic injuries and illnesses Dr. Graves chooses to assist in restoring people to their active and desired lifestyles. Dr. Graves is a competent and knowledgeable physician when it comes to occupational and cumulative trauma work related injuries addressing the specific nature, severity and physical demands of work related injuries.
Dr. Graves has served as Team Physician for Ben Smith High School for more than ten years while offering quality medical care to athletes of all competitive levels of sport. Dr. Graves remains involved and committed to our community by currently serving on the Spears YMCA Board of Directors. Having coached basketball teams and staying physically active by running, playing basketball and tennis, Dr. Graves balances the importance of family and a growing Orthopaedic Practice. Dr. Graves resides in Greensboro with his wife and two children.
