Mark Dumonski, MD

Dr. Dumonski is extremely excited about bringing his training and expertise in general orthopaedics and spine surgery to the Guilford Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Center team. A graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, Dr. Dumonski is proud to have subsequently gained his surgical training in both general orthopaedics and spine surgery from world leaders at highly-regarded, high-ranking orthopedic facilities, as per U.S. News and World Report. Following medical school, Dr. Dumonski completed his orthopaedic residency at Rush Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center in Chicago, IL in 2009. In his last year of residency, he was awarded "Resident Teacher of the Year" by his peers, a reflection of his commitment to ensuring every patient and family a full and thorough understanding of a given disease process and its associated treatment options. Following residency, he dedicated an additional year of training at Thomas Jefferson University as a spine surgery fellow at the highly prestigious Rothman Institute in Philadelphia, PA.
An avid athlete, Dr. Dumonski particularly enjoys running and has recently completed his 12th marathon. He also enjoys weight training, tennis, playing piano, and swing dancing with his wife, Wendy. As natives to Connecticut, Dr. Dumonski and his wife are very excited about relocating to the beautiful Greensboro area.

- Complex adult deformity/scoliosis and revision procedures
- Acute and subacute spinal trauma
- Motion preservation spinal technologies, including disc replacement
- Minimally invasive surgical techniques
- Work-related injuries and independent medical evaluations (IMEs)
