Peter Dalldorf, MD
Dr. Dalldorf’s experience as team physician for the Houston Astros, Houston Oilers, and Houston Rockets has gained him a tremendous reputation as being one of the premier sports medicine physicians in the Greater Triad region. He is highly sought by many of the region’s athletic teams for consultations on shoulder and knee injuries. Dr. Dalldorf has served as head team physician for North Carolina A&T State University for more than eleven years while offering quality medical care to athletes of all competitive levels of sport. Dr. Dalldorf summarizes his personal philosophy of care as, “The secret to the care of the patient is in caring for the patient.” Dr. Dalldorf instills this philosophy through being an adjunct professor at UNC-Chapel Hill for the medical and nursing schools. He also assists in the supervision of a sports medicine fellowship through UNC-Chapel Hill and Moses Cone Hospital. Dr. Dalldorf remains physically active by playing tennis. He jokingly reports that he had to give up playing basketball after his partners had to put him together several times after injuries. Dr. Dalldorf resides in Greensboro with his wife and four children.
