What Are Our Policies?
-
Patient attendance at all scheduled physical therapy sessions is essential to successful recovery. We ask that patients arrive at or before their scheduled time. If it is your first visit, check in at the front desk upon arrival
-
Cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance of your scheduled visits so that we may use that time for other patients who are waiting to be seen. In cases of inclement weather or illness, we do not enforce this policy.
-
Applicable payments for services are expected at the end of each treatment unless prior arrangements have been made.
Insurance
At Guilford Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Center, we participate with most major and private insurance plans, including Workers' Compensation. As a courtesy, we will gladly file your claim for you.
As a physical therapy patient, you will need a referral from your physician to comply with your coverage.
Our staff will keep in contact with your referring physician, rehabilitation case manager or insurance company. We will also assist you in any way that we can to achieve your optimal recovery.
Internships / Services
We provide clinical experience to local high school and college students with Internships in Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine. As part of the learning process, the students take part in the daily routines of operating the center. This program has become a valuable asset benefiting students, staff and our patients.
Continuing Education
Our clinic also offers professional in-services on various topics in orthopaedics and sports medicine. We place high emphasis on the continuing education of our staff members. Therefore, they all participate in courses to study the latest techniques and advanced approaches towards healing.
